On June 25, Walmart China and CCFA jointly held a seminar on traceability system construction during the 2019 National Food Safety Publicity Week in Beijing.

Walmart China also officially launched its Blockchain Traceability Platform. By scanning the QR code on the product, customers can learn about its supplier source as well as its geographic location information and testing reports received by Walmart.

Dr. Yan Zhinong participated in a roundtable discussion on traceability and technological innovation under socially shared governance, and launched the Walmart Blockchain Traceability Platform with Walmart China executives, including Chief Purchasing Officer Curtis Liu, Chief Ethics Compliance Officer Bengti Tan and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Daniel Shih.
